Name:Emet-Selch
Birthdate:Jan 1
Emet-Selch/Hades was a member of the Convocation of Fourteen, an order within the city of Amaurot devoted to preserving the city of Amaurot and the world. As their world faced its ruin, desperation drove the Convocation to pray and summon Zodiark - a deity that averted said chaos and saved the world. However, this was not without a price: the deity tempered Hades, who then determined to sacrifice half of their people to restore those that had initially offered themselves to ensure that Zodiark could be summoned. Disturbed by this, some Ascians summoned a counterpart to Zodiark - Hydaelyn - as a control. This resulted in Hydaelyn attacking Zodiark, shattering reality itself into the Source and its thirteen shards.

Hades survived along with his fellow Convocation members, Lahabrea and Elidibus, remaining himself while everything he knew and loved was either sacrificed in Zodiark's creation, or fragmented into what he considered flawed parodies. Going by his title Emet-Selch, Hades works with the other Paragons and their Ascian followers to orchestrate the Rejoining of the shards with the Source to restore both their god and their home. During the Source's Third Astral Age, Emet-Selch influenced the creation of the Allagan Empire by helping its advancement until it was destroyed in the Fourth Umbral Calamity, and then with the beast tribes and Garlean empire to usher in yet another Calamity. His goal was singular: create an imbalance that would necessitate a Calamity, which would usher in the Rejoining - while this would draw all the shards and the Source into one entity, and thus restore the former glory of his lost home, it would result in a mass extinction event unlike any Calamity before it.

Emet-Selch followed the Warrior of Light to the First and observes the Scions' actions. He is allied with Eulmore, but is more interested in observing their actions, seeing if they are worthy - though what he means by this is unknown, as he is by nature enigmatic and enjoys keeping his plans to himself.

Emet-Selch remains supportive until the Warrior of Light is unable to contain the amassed light of Norvrandt's Lightwardens, revealing he has been testing the Warrior and the Scions to see if the former regained enough of their former self to be considered a potential ally. He spirits away the Crystal Exarch after he is revealed to be G'raha Tia.
